FULLY-FUNDED Bangor University training

Health & Wellbeing at Work

“A fantastic opportunity” are the words Janine Bennett and Tess Horobin used to describe their palliative level 4 training course at Bangor University.  Janine and Tess have made the 342 mils return journey from Trealaw to Bangor in order to access the fully funded and university accredited training. “We have gained so much knowledge from just one day that we can't wait to go again”

The university has provided the training, travel, accommodation and food for free. 

Janine and Tess saw the incredible courses available on the health and wellbeing at work programme and both jumped at the chance to enrol not only to improve their skills but to enable them to provide the best care and service for everyone they support in Cartrefi Cymru.

Both Janine and Tess will continue to attend the courses in North Wales, which we see them travelling thousands of miles over the next few weeks however despite their marathon the ladies have no hesitation in recommending the training and would urge anyone who is interested in any of the remaining courses sign up and take up the same learning opportunities as they have. Connecting Learners are pleased to announce renowned and highly experienced consultant Dr Margaret Flynn as the Key Speaker for If You Care conference on the 20^th March 2014 at Venue Cymru.

The ‘Connecting Learners Project’ is pleased to invite you to a conference aimed specifically at frontline support workers and care assistants in North Wales.

The “If You Care” conference will be held on Thursday 20^th March at Venue Cymru, Llandudno from 09:15 – 15:15.

If you are keen to professionally advance your workforce by way of updating their skills, learning new knowledge, sharing experiences with others and networking with others, then please encourage them to attend this free event.  Places are limited so booking early is advisable.

Exciting news Connecting Learners are holding a Learning Event Day for anyone working in the care sector at Venue Cymru on the 20th March 2014.  A full day of fun workshops and great conversation.  Further details will follow in the New Year.
